How long

What's it been? A second?
I know I know, almost a year later! But here I am {big smile} back on track.

A quick update { teeheehee} like it can be quick after such a long time right {another big smile}

Baby Hugo was born during the coldest month, on the 29th July and his name is Eli Calvin Hugo. Weighing 3.9kg.

Mum went through the caesarean procedure to bring this precious treasure from his world into hers :-) It was not as agonising as what I imagined. In fact. There was no pain after the delivery and I was mobile almost immediately. Thanks to the amazing painkillers I guess :-)

Here are a few snap shots of the 1st few hours and days of master Hugo. I must say Eli has kept me pretty busy --but I'm relishing every moment with him.

My Vote is My Voice

Yesterday was another memorable day in the life of all South Africans. Elections. So pleased it all went well and that our country stood together ensuring no fatalities. I had the opportunity to make my mark and get inked :-) The perk of my precious baby bump was that I got moved to the front of the line hahaha, so no long standing for this voter. Favour hey.

What about you? Were you a responsible citizen? Did you go and vote?

Stripes for the all sizes

I have to wear every maxi & blazer while they still fit.. We are growing at a rapid pace here people :-) Moved from a size 32 to a 34 and now a 36 in a matter of weeks ... whoooooo

10 years later

An exhilirating 10years and going ...hubster and I celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary on Friday the 4th April. We have been fortunate enough to iron out our differences in the 1st 2 years of our new found relationship :-). I soon discovered that it was fairly different to the dating relationship we had. New Priorities :-) home structure, finances, date nights, God, family and how to accomodate one another in all spheres of our new life.

A few of these included our restaurants of choice, movies, friends, short term and long term goals.....All in all, we have adjusted well and now after 10 years we having an addition to our little family :-) Time for some new adjustments Id say!! hahaha - oh but we soooo welcome it and look forward to teaching our son the ways of God, life and how to deal with it. God blessed us with an amazing romantic breakaway to commemorate our beautiful union :-) between the mountains rivers and lakes.

What this Preggy wore to a wedding

Pretty hard to put an outfit together for a growing belly to a fancy do. A wedding. I was looking for a long dress that would not entirely hide the bump but not look toooo awkward. I found a dress, actually 2 - but they made me look 9 months pregnant hahahaha when in fact I am only 5months.

Fortunately I wasn't too dispondent as I had a back up dress in my wardrobe but was not sure how well it would fit with the bump - as it is a Pre-preggy dress.

New BFF

And her name is Prego Roll... no I mean Preggy Roll hahaha.. After experiencing 2 night of back ache while trying to sleep - Hubby brought home this beauty. She surely delivers on her promise. A perfect support for my back & and tummy for a perfect nights sleep - I know she will also be the perfect snuggle pillow for when Baby Hugo arrives.

I think another reason hubby also got me this new BFF... so that I dont keep him outa sleep like Jennifer in The Back Up Plan...hahaha

I am sooooo pleased with my new BFF and think I will drag her along next week for our weekend away :-)in celebration of our 10th year wedding anniversary {aaaah bliss}

Husbands birthday

Celebrated by darling hubsters birthday this Friday. We stayed up the Thursday night until his bday then I gave him his gift...aaaah. He actually loved it {sweet husband---never fussy} We headed off to dinner at a Jazz set up restaurant - cos I know he loves him some good music {smilessss}- and the food was not too bad..hehehe we've tasted better haha.

The decor and ambience was however stunning. Framed Musical Instruments all around in a black silver and red theme.
