Purple Leopards

Oh man, there were so many highlights at the Snazzynez Style Seminar on Saturday.  It was a hugggge success– but I’ll share more on that with you hopefully by Thursday.

3 things I love about the ensemble, 1) who doesnt love leopard print - and in this instance the purple shade adds a factor of both 'warm and snuggly.' The pants high waist and cut also slims down my extra thighs I gathered during winter. lol   2)The Vintage shirt has been an all time favourite for about 3 yrs now. Add it to anything - and it works {smile} 3)The leather jacket really an all season. A great add onto the workwear- brining in some 'edge'.

On another note, Monday Music tune is by the gorgeous Katy Perry – Roar. Man this song!! Gives me goosebumps everytime I hear it. I mean, everrrrry timeee! The chorus “I got the eye of the tiger the fighter, dancing through the fire, ‘cause i am a champion, nd you’re gonna hear me roar, louder, louder than a lion, 'cause i am a champion, and you’re gonna hear me roar” really gets me going...lol

Not sure what I was looking at here...lol. Blame it on Monday

FunFriday: Green slacks & loafers

Yesterday was Heritage Day in South Africa where most of us enjoyed a day off from the office- I wont say work- because some found themselves working in the garden or in the house{smile}. The weather was perfect so we enjoyed a quick tiny braai at Rietvlei Zoo. I was so glad that Spring decided to return after it abandoned us to the cold this weekend past.Brrrrr, it was
Winter all over again. I mean, coats and scarves were seen everywhere.

White was ideal for the homecoming of Spring {teeheehee}. It just brightens everything and today was no different{smile} brightening my start of the short week. I wanted to have it on the Trendy Tuesday post as its big once again this spring and summer,but missed yesterday and cant wait until next week.

Music Monday- Peace within

For days now ive been listening to this really calming song Peace Within by Abigail Layman, a good friend of mine.

Ive listened to it before. But this time it did something to my Spirit.  I guess its because so much going on at the moment and I needed Gods peace through it all. Take a listen and let me know what ya think.

The Hubster

Since I wore my "husband" jeans yesterday, I thought it appropriate to dedicate todays post to my hubster. The. One.And.Only. Mr E HuGo. He’s been an absolute star the last few weeks {smile}. Ok and every other week too. More so, these last few weeks leading up to all the functions at our Venue - making sure everything is in place.

He’s such a trooper. Ensuring my bro-in-law is comfortable at our place and keeping him company until his wife and kids join him here in Jozi, ridding him of the homesick fevers he frequently has{smile} missing them.

Boyfriend (husband) jeans

Im soaking up every bit of sunshine here in Jozi and went bearing full arms and shoulders today.... Blissss. And these boyfriend (husband as per Arlene) jeans are super comfortable from Zara and also Mr Price. My sister Jenique who is a 4th year student in Fashion Design in the USA, showed us some amazing things one can do with denim at my last Style Seminar. Really really cool stuff – and pretty easy too. In a later post, I will load some step by step guides from her on how to get your jeans to look “tacky” and worn out like these.

Trendy Tuesdays: Pastels

Spring has always been about soft colours. And this season is no different. Shades of Pastels are on trend again and can be seen on all catwalks and in stores. Team your pretty shades with yellow gold and tan (nude) accents. I’ve had this dress for two spring seasons now and I believe it will be around for another few more, because its timeless {smile}

Blue Monday the Blake Lively way

I was super chuffed when my mum-in-law gave me these pants and jacket. The pants are not really my ordinary wear, but man does it hide the winter tummy pretty well {smile}

Ah, I remembered seeing a similar combo together and couldnt wait to try out one of my favourite fashion icons look. Blake Lively. Elegant, fun and sophisticated. Whats your thoughts ladies? Maybe replace the tote with a small clutch or crossover bag?

FunFriday:Tye Dye Tapered Pants ...for Comfort

Hellllo lovelies, Today was a day of errands people. The tye dye tapered pants is not a favourite of many. But let me tell you, it is super comfortable. And with the right shoes it gave me the endurance in those never ending lines. In the midst of the busyness {smile}, I made time for some FUNNNNN PICS for my friends. Because is that not what FunFriday is all about{grin}

This beautiful jacket was bedazelled by my sis Jenique. Didnt she do a remarkable job !! I just love it as its so versatile especially for our unpredictable weather in Jozi.
